Use

Use this read-only service for public-record research. Respect source terms and rate limits. Do not bypass access controls, disrupt the service, submit confidential information or attempt to reidentify redacted claimants.

Source scope

Records have different units, coverage and dates and may be revised by the publishing agency. A returned page is not an exhaustive inventory. Preserve citations, dates, nulls and coded values. Historical Storm Events records are NWS reports and estimates as published by NCEI. FEMA obligations are not necessarily payments or completed work; application status is not a new eligibility determination.

Limits

Records are provided as available, with no guarantee of completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular decision. The service provides no property-specific flood-zone, premium, insurance coverage, eligibility, safety, legal or engineering determination, and no forecast of future disasters or losses. No government agency or OpenAI endorses GovBot. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded by law.
