Privacy policy

Prepared October 26, 2026 for GovBot Disaster History at disasters-api.govbot.ai, operated by Ideation Lab, Corp.

Information processed

The service processes lookup arguments: state and county codes, disaster numbers, event identifiers, date ranges and pagination. It does not require an account, accept payments, use advertising cookies or request a street address. Do not send credentials or confidential information. Returned public records can contain agency-published applicant names, community names and redacted claim attributes. The service does not attempt to identify redacted policyholders.

Recipients and purposes

Google Cloud hosts the service and processes operational request metadata such as IP address, route, time, response status and user agent. FEMA receives the query parameters needed for its public API searches. NOAA snapshot lookups are performed within this service. No caller credentials are forwarded. Your client, such as ChatGPT or Codex, handles conversations and returned records under its own policy.

Storage and retention

The application does not persist tool arguments, request bodies or returned records and does not write them to application logs. Public FEMA responses are cached in bounded process memory for reuse for five minutes. Rate counters reset every minute. Hosting access logs are retained for 30 days under the verified Google Cloud logging configuration.

Your choices

Disconnect or stop using the service at any time. Manage conversation history in your client. Contact hello@govbot.ai for privacy and deletion requests; do not include sensitive personal information.
